We’re thinking it would be ideal if it were just east of the Police Building.
Picture the new Parker Pavilion, easily accessible to the walking trail, with a high-quality restroom facility and water fountain within a few easy steps.
What does it bring us?
This is the sort of amenity that the citizens of Parker have been wanting and needing for years.
Parker townspeople regularly take advantage of our beautiful Parker Preserve, with its walking trail, shade trees, and open areas for exercise and play. It’s about time we enhance that space with a classic covered structure with many uses, designed to reflect the country flavor of our town.
Plenty of cool, cool shade
With 2400 square feet of covered space, that’s plenty of room for tired citizens to take a break from the Texas sun. Fans and picnic tables make it perfect for ad hoc family get-togethers, prom or wedding events, picture taking and more.
Concerts and public events
The pavilion is the perfect spot for performers in a Park Concert, or presenters in a public forum, or a meet-and-greet with City Council.
Convenient rest facilities
The convenience of a clean, new restroom facility near the walking trail, with a water fountain and some storage, is something we’ve needed.

This project is for the benefit of all residents of Parker.
There are a lot of different ways to approach a pavilion and related structures. We want to hear what you have to say! No, we won’t play the “design by committee” game, but we want the people of Parker to be pleased with the result.
How will it be paid for?
The City has a lot of other priorities, right? Expensive ones, too. How do we intend to find the money for this?
The Parker Pavilion Project will be funded by a combination of monetary resources. This includes private sponsorship, county and/or state grants, and City support. Rest assured, everyone is watching the books on this one. If the funding does not come together, it won’t happen.

What is the timeline?
We are following a conservative process, one step at a time, so that we make wise choices. This park amenity will be serving the people of Parker for many years to come!
